Monday pondering

My skin has had its ups and downs, big time. From about April to the beginning of this month, it really cleared up. I had been using Clinique's Anti Blemish Solutions - Soap, Cleanser and Moisturiser 3 step routine.

After and during Benicassim, I got kinda lazy, because the sun (despite long term) works wonders for your skin and kinda hides blemishes away, especially with my mass of freckles - they kind of get lost under there.

I stuck with the Clinique routine as best I could but I've noticed in the past week or so, my skin really has taken a turn for the worse.

I was reading another girl's beauty blog, and I almost had an epiphany.

Last week I bought Mac Mineralize Foundation and pretty much since then I've broken out.

I googled it, and quite a few hits came up with people saying the same thing.

I really like this make up, but it makes me think I might need to change it, literally a week after buying it.

What a pickle.

I'm just going to have to see if the sun helps me out this week when I'm in Spain.

Has anybody else had the same problem with this foundation? I'd love to hear from you!

  1. When I find a good foundation, I stick with it for as long as I can. For the last year or so I've used and re-bought twice Yves Saint Laurent's Perfect Touch foundation. It's water-based and has a hint of watermelon in it so it lets my skin breathe but also does what it says on the tin. But what I love most is its brush applicator- it's an absolute dream!

  2. MAC foundations are terrible for breaking people out unfortunately. I have spot issues and I've found Revlon's Colorstay to be the best by far. xxxx

  3. Now despite how sad, it is very true Mac = blemishes. Now I have tryed and tested many ways around this problem, as I love Macs shades. Now of a day I use Chanel Hydra Tint in sunlit. (Lovely No Make up, make up look). Despite only being a tinted moisteriser its Perfect. If feeling like I need more coverage I use a little bit of Mac Studio Fix Powder over- Which has never ever gave me a blemish. Now when its time to go out I use Mac Face and Body which is simply amazing. Now I dont get spots from it because I dont use it everyday and I know truly believe i appreciate it a little more than I did lol.
Now on a different note. I seen on your blog about Lee Stafford Hair Treatment. Now I completley fit the title of For hair that does not grow past a certain length. I purchased this last week from boots and I am pleasantly suprised. The tub claims to get hair back too its best condition to grow to its full potential. Now im not saying my hair has grown over night, but after using it twice my hair is alot thicker and feels in a much better condition. I would recomend this to anyone!!!

  4. MAC Foundations = Bad tmes!! destroyed my skin last december, still not the same now :( waaaaaah xXx

Much love. x
