Quick Outfit Post

Just a quick outfit post before I dash out.

I had this on today, but just changed my Destroyer for my grey blazer and my Converse for my new boots. Also swapped my rucksack for my Alexander Wang bag which you've seen a hundred times before.

I haven't done a full round in these shoes, but I've got a feeling I might have to put my Lunar innersoles in them to make them a bit more long lasting. Love the thick heel on them though; really beginning to get behind my choice.

Zara Shirt
Primark Blazer
H+M Jeans
Acne Boots
Alexander Wang Bag

Pink and Grey

Acne Blouse
Acne Pistol Boots (I actually bought these over the weekend but I'm not sure if I'm 100% behind my choice.)
YSL Arty Ring
Moto Jeans
Maison Martin Margiela Blazer
Alexander Wang Rocco.

The Show: Redefinition

Let's make this simple: I like fashion and I like technology.

So when I got sent some information about a fashion show that's taking place, specifically to combine fashion and technology, it sparked my interest and made me want to read on a little more and find out exactly what was taking place. I've written articles on the evolution of digital fashion before, when I studied Journalism, so it's interesting to see how things have developed over the past couple of years.
The Show: Definition is a fashion show, showcasing Autumn/Winter trends for 2011 at the Bullring in Birmingham, mixing real-life and holographic models, to "blur the boundaries between reality and illusion."
This kind of thing is absolutely amazing, and if you've seen anything similar to this before, it's so difficult to differentiate real-life models from the life-like holograms. It really is incredible to watch. The things people can create with technology is amazing; augmented reality is crazy cool, and so so clever.

I've never heard of anything like this going on within the UK, but the Bullring is the most visited shopping centre within the UK, so it's not overly surprising that this would be the first place for this to happen in.

So here's a little plug letting you know how you can attend the event: you can win seats exclusively for the show by visiting or take a seat on one of the balconies overlooking the West Mall. The show will offer behind-the-scenes features, including a rundown on the key trends, information on the blogs from the teams involved and be the first to hear of other events taking place at the Bullring.
The Show: Redefinition Times will be as following, so you have quite a  few opportunities to go down, and check out the show, which will feature clothing from Forever 21, Reiss, COS and Kurt Geiger, to name just a few of the brands.

 Friday 23rd September:     10.30am, 1pm, 3pm, 5.30pm
 Saturday 24th September: 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm
 Sunday 25th September:    11.30am, 1pm, 3pm

Check it out guys, and if you get the chance to go down, I think it'll be amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing the recaps on it! For the time-being though, here's a video to check out and see what you think.

Hello, I live here.

There is a time of year in New York when, even before the first leaf falls, you feel the seasons click.

The same can be said for Amsterdam.

It's officially Fall.

This morning was beautiful. It was cold but dry, despite the downpour yesterday.

I think the weather here is going through a midlife crisis; it doesn't know how to deal with things.

Today was nice though; it's days like this that make me remember why I love Amsterdam.

Supreme London Opening Thursday 22/9/11

What we saying?

Coincidentally, I'll be in London on Thursday, but I'm pretty sure there's no chance I'd be able to get a look in; I'm guessing there will be a queue fairly comparable to the anticipated size of the queue outside the apple shop when the iPhone 5 is released.

Ah well.

Wasted Heroes FA/HO 11

Last week, I was sent a couple of t-shirts by Russell, who owns Liverpool based graphics company, Wasted Heroes, who I've actually bought from before, and been speaking to since about 2009.

He sent me the Eagle print tee, and the Paranoid tee to try out, and see what I thought of them.

I was super happy with the Eagle tee, hence the photos, and the fact that I have worn it twice in two weeks. It's a really nice relaxed fit, and the combed cotton t-shirt is amazing quality. It's a bit odd because even though it's not fitted, the shape is actually really flattering.

I haven't taken a photo in the Paranoid tee yet, because it's cropped, so I'm trying to work out a way to photograph it in the most flattering way for me. My friend tried it on, who is pretty teeny tiny, and it looked amazing on her; I wish she took a photo in it for me. Grr.

The print is amazing; check it out.

Check out the site and have a look at the rest of the stuff they have to offer. I'm a bit crazy about the jumpers, especially this one. So simple, but super nice.

They've also got a Facebook page, which kindly informed me that there is a store in Amsterdam which stocks the brand which is awesome.

Super nice brand, and always nice to support a local company.

Nike Air Max 1 Navajo

How furrreaking nice are these?

I'm all over this kind of print for this season, and patterns aren't even my bag, at all.

I haven't bought shoes for a while, so if I can pick up these, I'd be super happy.
Happy Friday y'all.

He is Somebody

Jason Wu x KAWS SP12

I'm not a pure hype head but there's nothing more I like to see, than street on the runway.

Jason Wu has collaborated with KAWs for his Spring '12 Collection, specifically by designing the fabric.

Check out the print and look clearly at the detail. It's absolutely beautiful.

Look at the blouse Karlie is wearing n the bottom image; I haven't been impressed by a textile since Miu Miu's swallow print a few years ago, and in my mind, even though I'm comparing apples to oranges, Wu has absolutely kicked their ass.
